7 month old little lady

She's 7 months.

Sweet Payton. 7 months. Finally sitting for good. I still might throw a pillow or a boppy behind her just in case, but she falls so gently that she's fine. I finally pulled out the box of baby toys... so she'd have more to play with. More big girl toys. It's going to be hard to come up with a Christmas gift for her.... she has all of Morgan's hand-me-downs... I did already get her a Fisher Price stuffed puppy, that talks to you and tells you colors and such... Morgan didn't have that. I think the only other thing I want for her, but would include both girls... is a CD player/ tape player for their room. I got a CD player for Morgan when she was a baby and always played her Baby Einstein classical music.... but it went south and I haven't replaced it. Soon enough I'm going to have to figure out how to get both girls sleeping in the same room, and I think I want to start with soothing music.... NOT looking forward to that transition.

Payton still doesn't eat well... she acts hungry but I have to force the spoon past her gums. Stinker. She doesn't like peas, barely likes carrotts, and prefers sweet potatoes and squash. She likes bananas for breakfast, but will eat applesauce and pears too. I need to get her some cereal. Not the rice cereal, the gerber cereal. She might like that. And those little snacks... she might like those too. They dissolve easily.. would help with hand/eye coordination.

She's starting to assert herself too. The first 6 months she was this little being in the room that you could set aside when something else was happening... but now she is having NONE of that. She makes her needs/wants known... another independent girl. Lord help us!

She doesn't say anything yet, but she babbles a lot and makes a distinct noise when she's talking to me or wants me to pick her up.

PJ rolls aaaaalllll over the place, too. In fact... last night as I was getting the girls ready for bed, I set her down on her tummy in Morgan's room on her chenile rug. She likes to play with the loops. I was busy getting Morgan to the potty, dressed, teeth brushed, etc., when she started crying out. I went into Morgan's room.... and she was NOWHERE to be seen! And when I found her.... that little stinker had rolled herself UNDER the bunkbed, to the wall. WAY under there. I had to grab a foot to drag her out. Note to self: Youngest daughter is swift. Keep your eye on her.

Looking forward to the coming months, as she's going to be wanting to crawl, and talk, and maybe sign......

Love it!

Here's a quick inside look at the pages to my album. I adore it!

Teeny Tiny Little Angel .... a little wild for me... for my DT.... I do think I might like it though.. ! :)

Changed it a wee bit.

18.8

My little punkin went in for her 6 month appointment.... at almost 7 months..... and she weighs 18.8. 75% for weight and length.

There isn't anything quite as irritating than arriving early for your doctor's appointment, don't want to be late!.... and then waiting in the waiting area for almost AN HOUR while people are hacking up their lungs left and right. I had to go and ask if they had forgotten me... I wasn't seeing all these kids coming in and out ... what the heck are they DOING back there! I should have known... they had called me the day before and rescheduled my appointment from 10:45 to 4. They must have known they over scheduled. Well.... STOP doing that! SO irritating. I almost had Morgan with me too! At the last minute I decided she probably would have more fun playing with Raegan. Phew! I was only worried because I wasn't sure what Payton would think of her 3 shots! I didn't think about entertaining her while we waited to get to our room! So, note to self... NEVER take Morgan. She and I both would have had a meltdown waiting there. As it is, sweet PJ was on the verge herself.

My sweet girl is healthy, no concerns.... she was a little mini crocodile on the table with that crunchy paper to play with... I almost couldn't keep a handle on her little naked self.

Mommy gets so busy being mommy, doing the work thing, etc. , that time moves away before I'm ready. Normally I schedule my future appointment while at the office, but last appointment PJ was a bit fussy so we just left. So I forgot! I need to make an annoying appointment for myself too.... I thought I had developed an allergy to my wedding ring while pregnant, because I started developing this weird rash on my ring finger... While Steve was convinced I was just holding out for a platinum upgrade... I had no idea what was wrong. I have since stopped wearing it.. It's been 6 months, and it's still there! I think it might be excema... I have no idea! But it gets really dry, and sometimes I wake myself up at night because I'm itching the wazoo out of it.... but I wash my hands every 5 minutes all day long, so it's hard to keep it moisturized. I need to find out for sure what it is. Can't be the ring, it's been too long since I wore it. So.... I need to find some time... some day... to get to a dermatologist and get this figured out. Ack. More doctor's visits......

Can I TELL you how much this layout cracks me up? LOVE it.

Journaling:
He's been wearing Wranglers since the early 1990's. I bought him a black Stetson in... 1997? He inherited his grandfather's saddle, but has no horse. His parent's grew up on ranch's in Wyoming. But Steve was born and raised in Bend, Oregon, in a little house on Shepard Road. But on 3pm on Thursday, September 7, 2006.... Steve finally earned the right to be called: Cowboy.
Yep, that's right. Two 1000 pound cows arrived at our little farm to eat some weeds for a few months before they end up in the freezer. And when they showed up, you bet I made him put on his fancy schmancy hat and let me take some pictures. I had been thinking about the scrapbook layout all day, and went into a fit of giggles just thinking about it. Nevermind the fact that he's wearing a shirt that says "bite me" at the bottom. That just adds to my fun.

Somehow, despite the drama of two little girls..... I've somehow found my Mojo! This is a layout based on a sketch for the upcoming Ezine at Scrappin Trends. Subscribe to that Ezine if you can... it's free, and I'll have a few layout in it. This and the Wonderland layout, as well as a project. I'm very excited! These papers are also by Cosmo Cricket... Loving this manufacturer!

I was asked to be a guest designer at a blog.... designerdiaries.blogspot.com - I don't know when I will be featured, but its some gals from another scrappy website, and when they asked, I said yes! My subject was What If... this was hard for me at first, but I think I love the results. I have a bunch of What If's in the envelope. I'll add them later.

A History of Trees

So.... I have this great idea for a mini album. Since I've been living on my own.... every Christmas I have gotten a tree to celebrate the holidays. Christmas isn't Christmas without a tree. And every year, the Christmas tree has been a member of my family for the few short weeks it has graced my living room. This tree has always had a name. I wanted to create an album to comemorate the trees that have been invited inside my home..... yet... sadly, I cannot remember all of the names! I've looked through a couple of my journals, so I do have a couple of names, but most elude me. It's a disgrace! So, dear blogland, if you recall the names of any of my Christmas trees, please let me know, so that I can honor them as they deserve. Here is what I have so far:

1998?- Papoose the Blue Spruce - I believe this was my first Christmas tree....
1999- I lived with the guys this year.... I'm thinking this one had something to do with Charlie.....
2000- Did I have a tree the first year Steve and I were married, when we lived in my little apartment a couple of months before we bought our house?
2001-
2002- John Denver, or JD, the Colorado Spruce tree that still grows on NE Nickernut and will soon be moved to NW Nickernut Ave
2003-
2004-
2005 - Dead Fred - Dear Fred died the moment he stepped limb into our new house, and was asked to move out on 12/26, first thing.

Cinderella Morgan

Payton didn't cooperate like I would have wanted. She was fascinated by the grass. Still cute, though!

Kids say the Darndest things.....

I told Morgan I had to go potty.... so off to the bathroom I went. She came running up to me and said, "Mommy? Are you going to squish it like Daddy?" Nope. Girls sit down to go potty......

Scrappintrends

Woohoo! Got another DT gig! This time it's for scrappintrends.com - I don't know all the details yet, except I will be working bimonthly with kits, and the off month will be doing reviews, writing articls, working on projects for their online magazine. Very exciting! Apparently editors and manufacturers frequent this site, so it could potentially lead to some fun freelance work! Toot!

:)
