My little piece of that azure sky

This is the greatest idea I've seen. It is a chipboard album attached with 5 rings..... and it's for cards. I've saved all the cards sent to Payton, and I just hole punch them and put them in the rings for this "album". That way she always has all the word of love, thanks, encouragement, etc.! I am not very good at sending, receiving cards, but this idea is so fabulous! I'm going to make one for all the members of our family. I just wish I had seen this sooner!

A stinky toot!
You heard it here, folks. It's a smelly week! I am tooting my own horn to the fact that my Prima Paint Can won 3rd place in the Prima Paint Can Extravaganza! You know what that means? $50 in Prima product! AND they want to take my can with them to Memory Trends... a big convention for vendors peddling their wares to stores. That means that Miss Payton and Miss Morgan Paige, along with their mama's name.... are going to be famously displayed at the Prima booth! So exciting.
Now, I spoke in haste, because this hasn't been announced yet, so shhhhh...., but I couldn't help myself!
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Another toot!
Legacy magazine just requested a layout of mine! It's called Explore.... I had it previously posted on here, but have to delete it until after the magazine comes out. The only scary thing is that Legacy wants me to mail them the layout, and then they'll decide if they want to publish it. They have to be sure they can photograph it, etc. So, it's a toot, but I hope it stays a toot! I don't know what I get in compensation, but it looks like my girl is going to be published again! So excited.

Rides at the Fair
I admit... I was very excited to go to the fair because Morgan is now old/big enough to go on rides!
Silly little boat ride. 6 tickets!
Bear ride with daddy! I thought she might be scared, but she wanted to twist and twist and make that teddy spin! She liked that ride.
Of course we had to do the big slide.....
And we had to do the pony rides too! This is Tony. When I told Morgan we were going to go to the fair and she could ride a pony, she told me she was going to hold the string and say "giddyup"! Silly kid.
The fair was fun! The first aid booth at the fairgrounds always hires Redmond Fire to help with staffing, and in exchange, they give them $5 an hour plus a free ticket for every hour they work. Steve worked 6-11 on Friday night, because it's fun, they can listen to the free concert, watch Carnie's, have silly fair stories.... so we got our fair tickets, $9 each, and had some extras for the Merritts, as well as Marci Hagan, who came with us on Friday. Good deal! Most people who work at the fair are volunteers, so Steve's lucky to get anything for working in the first aid booth. Consider it community service! :)

I forgot to post this..... but our little one is now 4 months old. An old lady! She's busy rolling, can sometimes roll back to front..... chatters a lot, smiles quickly, eats well, sleeps very well, even tempered, still has some wild hair even though it's growing erradically and some of it is falling out due to the cradle cap..... a very good baby girl. And, of course, she's growing like a weed! :)
Here's a paint can I decorated for a contest. Morgan is pushing Payton in a buggy through a field of flowers. The handles are decorated with the "sun" and cotton ball "clouds". Cute, huh? I think I might take this to work to decorate my desk. I'tll get too much lovin' from the girls if I leave it at home, unless it's up high. :)
